Regent Seven Seas Cruises expands UK trade team

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has expanded its UK travel trade team with the appointment of Harriet Smith to the brand’s business development team.

She will report to Caroline Moody, business development manager, as part of a three-strong team led by Ed Lang, director of strategic accounts and business development.

The team will support agents in promoting the current fleet and two ships that will join the fleet in 2026 and 2029.

Paul Beale, UK sales vice-president at Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: “At Regent our main objective is to ensure that our partners are supported in growing their luxury cruise business, so we are excited to expand our business development team and bring Harriet into an already amazing sales team.

“Having earned her cruising stripes working in reservations for Norwegian Cruise Line, following a career working with luxury fashion brands, Harriet embodies the blend of cruise and luxury goods experience that aligns perfectly with Regent.

“Harriet has been tasked with re-engaging agents that have historically worked with us, in addition to working closely with current proactive agents and helping to find luxury agents and operators with a dedicated clientele who trust their personal travel agents for advice and inspiration.

“She has a host of tools to support our valued partners, including the newly launched Regent University, training webinars and destination videos that will inspire and educate, as well as our exclusive Facebook page where participating agents can find top tips and up-to-the-minute campaign details.”

Ed Lang, strategic accounts and business development director, added: “Our guests’ motivations have shifted to focus on value and with the unprecedented demand for luxury cruising, there is huge opportunity for our travel partners.

“I am looking forward to working with agents wishing to grow their luxury cruise sales, alongside my team, and we have some exciting times ahead with bespoke training opportunities, exclusive incentives and marketing budget investment.”

Smith said: “Regent has an incredible reputation as the world’s leading luxury cruise line and I am delighted to be part of the team tasked with growing and strengthening that reputation among travel partners.

“My diverse luxury experience combined with my experience in cruise reservations, gives me a unique perspective on what guests are seeking when booking a luxury cruise.”
