The hotels where Prince Harry and his fiancée Meghan Markle will spend the night before their wedding have been revealed, writes Emma Lake.
The Prince will stay at the Dorchester Collection’s Coworth Park in Ascot with his brother, the Duke of Cambridge, before his wedding at St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The 70-room five-red-AA-star hotel sits in 240 acres of parkland. Among the amenities offered at the hotel are polo grounds, stables and a spa.
A spokesperson for the Dorchester Collection said: “We can confirm that the households of TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and HRH Prince Henry of Wales have announced that Prince Harry will stay at Coworth Park the night before his wedding. His Royal Highness will be joined by best man The Duke of Cambridge.”
Markle will spend the night before her wedding at the 48-room five-red-AA-star Cliveden House Hotel (pictured), accompanied by her mother Doria Ragland.
The 17th century stately home, which was named AA Hotel of the Year in 2015, is about nine miles from Windsor.
The Duchess of Cambridge stayed at The Goring hotel in London before her marriage at Westminster Abbey in 2011. The hotel credited the publicity with an increase in bookings.
